We start with questions from Conservative MP Caroline Dinenage, that leads the committee.
She initiates by giving details to the disclosed memo authored by Michael Prescott and released in a daily publication.
"It is not my wish for the British Broadcasting Corporation tilting in any particular direction, I simply desire it straight, fair and equitable," he states.
When asked if he considers the British Broadcasting Corporation is structurally prejudiced, he responds: "No, I do not. It is important to note, a great deal the BBC does is world class - including factual and entertainment shows."
However, he continues: "There remains real work that requires attention at the British Broadcasting Corporation."
A further former external BBC consultant interviewed by the committee, Caroline Daniel, states she views the British Broadcasting Corporation with great importance and that it has a "continuous process and active debate" across fluid and multifaceted issues.
"Was the BBC willing to have a genuine dialogue and argument and act accordingly?" she questions. "From my perspective, yes they were."
